Here is an idea which I hope the congregation will consider as a way of raising funds for our church.
The idea is that a host/hostess will invite a few friends to their home to share fun, food and fellowship in the form of a simple coffee morning, a soup and sandwich lunch or an afternoon tea (plain or fancy)! There is no set charge, simply ask your guests to make a donation.
Each host will receive a free 175th Anniversary tea towel and, more importantly, will know that their efforts are helping the church, not only financially but also by encouraging a happy and welcoming community spirit. Do not worry if you feel you are unable to host an event just now – the idea is that these may be held throughout the year.
Please pick up your hosting pack after church on Sunday or during the week from the church office.
